How long does pale pine wood cart to season (dry) properly after anyone cut and split?
Answers: Depends on how drizzling it was to begin near. I would not recommend burning any wood indoors unless it has had a minimum of 6 months to a year to season. Hope this help.
Theres a few variables that will affect drying time----how easily can air circulate through the stack...does the stack receive some full sun...what time of year be the wood cut-can affect moisture content...size of the pieces....
Pine and conifers seem to typically take longer to dry than oodles woods, as the pitch takes longer to dry out than more watery base sap in deciduous trees.
6-12 months is a good average drying time, given the variables. Longer can never hurt, if the wood is stacked sour the ground, so it wont rot.
for pine , at least a full year...i wouldnt consider burning pine no matter how long you season it...but thats me...
