What is a late blooming magnolia that will grow in Zone 5?

Question:The later the better. Specific growing area is Indianapolis. Anyone have any suggestions?

Answers:
No Magnolia that grows in zone 5 is a late bloomer and differencies between the species are slight. The little girl series (Ann, Betty, Jane, Judy, Pinkie, Randy, Ricki, and Susan) where all expressly bred to produce a series of Magnolia with later bloom times. The Star Magnolia will bloom slightly later than a Saucer. A Saucer will bloom later than a Merrill Magnolia in zone 5. All grow in USDA Hardiness zone 5.
