My house plant is brown and crispy around the edges.. why?

Question:

Answers:
there are two different reasons for this depending on what kind of plant it is, first either its getting too much sun and if thats not the case then it could be the dirt you are using has food in it like miracle grow good dirt but some plants are sensitive to it and they burn from it. there is one last possibility but its the least likely, and that is you are over watering it. It would be more helpful if we knew what kind of plant it is, im a gardener the reality is a lot of plants are a pain in the **** and just dont like to be in pots because that isnt there natural environment

Have you been trying to smoke it?
depending on what kind of plant, it is probably not getting enough water or too much light. try watering it and moving it further from the light and see what happens.
Some house plants will get that way if the air is too dry for them. If the above answers don't help try putting a tray of water with small pebbles in it underneath the plant. The pebbles help keep the pot out of the water and the evaporation will help put humidity around the plant.
