Arizona Lawn - Help?

Question:My arizona lawn is dead. They told me it was from some bunny who have eaten the grass and crapped on it. I have the bunnies under control, but now I need to start over. Any ideas of the proper process?

Answers:
in Arizona i suggest if you have a small yard to have no grass and go with rock or stone, with desert plants in it.(easier)

or you could grow grass back, get some good quality dirt, some grass seed and spread it over the dirt(use plenty of seed) you laid down in a light layer then use a rake and rake it into the dirt, then add compost or if you can't get any get some fertilizer, then water it periodically you should see it start to sprout really soon. there may be a few patches that need more seed so do the same thing then fertilize in a few weeks or use compost it really does work better. if you don't know where to get compost find a farm or a feed store and ask a farmer if you can have some or buy some or ask at the feed store where you can get some.

Are you new to to the valley ?

You have to reseed twice a year anyway. You might be best advised to wait until it's time for the Fall seeding & do that.
