How can I get rid of the mold that is growing on my dirt?

Question:Ok, I am trying to grow my own grass in my small back yard. I made sure I put fertilizer into the soil and mixed it all in before I seeded. Now I am getting some green gunk on my soil.

Answers:
That mold is not a problem. Leave it alone. When the rains stop or you back off the watering it will go away. Mold is often a sign of a well fertilized but damp soil. Quit worrying about it.

It is too wet back there. Let it dry for a few days and it should die off. If you try to kill the mold with spray fungicide, the grass may be impacted. Wait until it is 3" or so before attempting any treatment.
pick it up by hand and keep moving until all is gone
Sounds more like moss than mold. It will probably go away once the grass takes hold and you don't need to water as often.
