How do you get rid of moles from your lawn?
Question:Moles are distroying my flower bed and front and back lawn.
Answers:
I don't usually resort to chemical methods but in the case of moles I think it's justified. I buy poisoned bait and put it in the mole hill entrance, deep enough where birds won't find it.
The reason I use this method is that moles leave holes that are easy to trip over or fall into, and I cannot afford a broken leg!
They tunnel everywhere, and ate about 50 bulbs that I planted last fall. Destructive little devils.
Sorry, enviromentalists, I usually weigh heavily on "green" methods, but I can't take the chance of getting hurt by depending on something like putting chewing gum in the mole hole and hoping the mole likes the flavor!
find enterance an put moth balls in it
a couple of suggestions, mole traps in trench holes or those windmills cause vibrations that supposedly spook 'em away.
um i do it the ghetto way and just stick my water hose into the hole and fill it up with water.sometimes they drown and sometimes they come to the surface...idk...then get "rid" or them...lol

I've got a pretty good way, but, it has its drawbacks. I've got four big dogs that LOVE to hunt for them and dig them out and eat them or otherwise maul them to death. On the downside is that it makes your yard look like a bombed out war area, and if you're mowing your yard with a riding mower, that can throw your back out on numerous occasions. And if you're using a "push mower", you can step into numerous holes your dogs have dug in pursuit of the moles and sprain an ankle or do other bodily damage to yourself, BUT, it sure is fun to see them on the hunt, especially when they know they've got one "treed" as it were, and you'd swear they had metal detectors and were pursuing gold finds. And this deluge of rain we've been having over the past couple of weeks or more has sure got them moles running for higher ground to avoid drowning. Other than that way, out here in the country of northeast Texas, I ain't got a clue. God Bless you.
How cute, I've never seen a mole, we don't have them in Australia. Are they really that bad,? in pictures they look so furry and soft....
Someone posted a question about how to dig up their lawn, maybe you could send them your moles..
spread a grub killer which is what the moles feed on. the most common and effective is diazenon.(sp)
Heck, borrow my cat. She'll drag dead ones into the house as trophies
stick some spearment gum down in the holes. it kills them. My yard was ate up with them when I moved here last year... I did that, as well as plugged there holes with large rocks. This year, I have no tunnels underfoot, no more moles.
