I planted an oak tree about a month ago or so.?

Question:Its only about 12 inches tall, after I planted it, it stopped raining, (I'm in Missouri) So I watered it every evening until we got the rain we needed, wich was alot! Now the leaves are kind of yellow and brown, but they didnt fall off. Will it make it?

Answers:
maybe it drowned... probably not though

yeah.
probably it too late in the season. should be planted in the late fall or winter.
maybe
it did not drown it just needs sun and water and yes it is going to make it
Might talk to a nursery, seems like yellow leaves are a sign of nitrogen defiency which is common with overwatering.
But that could be grass, talk to the nursery. I bet some feeding could help, couldn't hurt with a new planting.
Yes it should make it ...It is to the point where it has adjusted itself.I would discontinue the self watering...O.K.
Sounds like you may be watering too much, depriving the roots of oxygen .
Search the web for your kind of oak tree to get information on irrigation, feeding etc.
With the tree being only about 12 inches tall, you may have dug it up from another yard or received it in a one gallon bucket. The best product I could recommend is Superthrive to saturate the root zone and help the seedling to get off to a good start. No granular fertilizer for the first year. The leaves holding onto the plant is not necessarily a good sign when hoping for the best. If the leaves brown completely without falling off it is drying from the inside and will not make it.
Way too much water. Nothing should get watered every single day unless you are having extremely hot, windy days that are parching things or if they are water plants which would then be in a pond. Yellow means too much water. You should only have to water a tree that size about twice a week with drying time in between watering. The roots are continuously sitting in water. Do a poke test with your finger before watering next time. Poke your finger into the soil about 2 - 3 inches down, if dry...water, if wet.wait.
There are also moisture meters, very cheap to buy in a garden supply center that can be used to let you know if the ground is wet or dry and even in between.

Below is a site to give you an idea what I am talking about. And they work very well too.
