How do bamboos reproduce?

Question:

Answers:
Mostly by runners. They send roots out underground, which then sprout new plants. A whiole grove of bamboo can actually be one enormous interconnected plant. Bamboo does go to seed, but rarely. Often a huge area of bamboo will bloom and go to seed all at once, and then die. The interval varies from species to species, but can be many years.
