How quickly do tomatoes grow?
Question:
Answers:
i planted 6 cherry 100 and 6 better boy established plants on april 20th and there has been alot of activity. 2 of each are in 10in pots and they sprouted flowers in about one month. the rest are in the ground and they sprouted flowers shortly there after. 2 cherry 100 and 2 better boy plants in pots are significantly smaller than the ones in the ground but seem to be producing in relatively the same time frame. all plants now have green fruit on them although there seems to be a bit more on the potted ones. i expect the ones in the ground to catch up and last longer than the pots. i water all of them in the early morning everyday like clockwork (potted ones need more water than the ground) addding extra water on the really hot days. also adding miracle grow slow release pellets every 2-3 weeks. so after about a month and a half i expect to have ripe fruit by the end of june or early july. hope this helps. happy gardening.
On the regular size bedding size tomatoes, don't expect to harvest until around july. Keep giving them a burst of miracle gro once a week though to speed the process along!
Depending on what kind of tomato, how much rain you get, the amount of sun they get, temperature, and everything else, you should be picking lots of frit in 60 days. I planted mine Mother's Day and have blossoms already. i think its too early but then I'm not a tomato.
Depends on the climate and fertizer you are using. Click here for more details that will help you.
