New Rose plants?
Question:Im new at all this gardening stuff , but yesterday I had help and planted 4 rose plants in my flower bed. but now they are all wilted, it was warm today around 100 degrees
are they dying or just protecting themselves from the heat?? please anything will help

The problem is water. Newly planted roses or any newly planted flower needs to be watered every day for about two weeks in order to become established. Right now the roots are short and contained which means they can't get to the water in the deeper soil. Your roses should pull through, but remember to water them daily and water them early in the morning and only at the base because roses hate to get wet. Morning watering will allow them the opportunity to dry if they do get wet. After two weeks of watering daily you can cut back to once a week, but make sure you give them a nice big drink. Just as an aside, Did you make sure the plants were not root bound? If you just planted them then the chances are that the roots are growing in a circular pattern around the root ball which will eventually result in death by strangulation for the rose. If you did loosen the roots then you should be fine. If you did not, then I suggest that you pull them back up and either loosen the roots with your fingers or score the root ball with a sharp knife. They need plenty of water. Water them gently for about an hr. every day and see if they revive.
the best time to plant them are in spring or fall.they must be in shock from the heat. give them plenty of water for the next couple of week's,and give them some rose food.water early morning or late afternoon.don't water just before dark.they need to be dry (leaves) by night time or they can get diseases. they should be fine.
