How does this make it to lawn and garden? Oh well.
There are not enough details here to give you much of an idea. Brand, processor, hard drive size, screen size, version of Windows or other operating system, etc. Given what you have written at this point, I would give you $20, no more.
I would be cautious about selling this at a yard sale (or any other way, for that matter). Computers tend to collect personal information. Deleting files does not permanently erase this information, so if it was used much at all an ID thief could have a field day.
It kinda depends on the age of the laptop, and what the laptop has on it, like what it is running on like 2000? windows XP? Can you tell more info on the laptop ?
if its really old, around $100. if its a bit newer, id say $350? you could just say best offer, and make sure its not under $200 or so. depends on how much you want to get from it.
You should never sell or donate your old computers. Identity thieves have a field day with personal files that people thought they deleted but can be easily recovered. Whatever money you might get out of selling an old laptop is not at all worth the risk of having your personal info falling into the wrong hands.
I have an old laptop - very old. I would sell it for maybe $20.00. If yours is newer and includes manual, cords and accessories maybe up to $50.00.
