What are the best flowers to plant during the winter?

Question:I want them to be pretty!

Answers:
Pansies usually do well in the winter. You can get shades of yellow and purple/blue.

you could plant bulbs like snow drops and narcissus ready for the early spring?
Otherwise, if you're looking for winter colour hows about a bush with berries?? Not many flowers flower in winter as there's a lack of insects to pollinate them..(I assume)
