How do get rid of neighbors cats crapping in my gardens?
Question:Evidently the nieghbor is a cat lady. takes in strays, a couple were born in my yard before I lived here. my yard is their latrine. how do I stop them?
Answers:
Use the balls from the sweetgum tree. They are very spiky and cat don't like walking on them so they stay out of the flowerbeds. This is the only use for sweetgum balls I have found.
Easy, get a dog, or dig a ditch and hide it with some cover. Or hide some traps around your yard. They fall into your trap, they leave, they fall into your trap, they leave, the learn through repetition, they dont want to fall in the trap, or get chased away from you weilding a broom, or get scared off the dog. They will learn that risking their lives isnt worh taking a crap in your yard, they will eventually leave. If it isnt working, get an electric fence.
tell her that you'll alert the autorities if she lets them crap in your yard one more time and if they do give me a call and i'll bop on da head or you could do it though you might get arrested any way see ya
get a dog
get a mouse trap. place alot of it around. of course .. make sure you remember all the place you put them at...or better yet... why not get a pet dog? find the biggest, boldest dog you can find and let him wander around the yard often. good luck!!!!
Hot pepper spray on the plants will help. My guest is a beautiful Himalayan cat so I feed her every day.
Do something to frighten them from the area, like throwing fire crackers at them. If you do it consistently they will leave your yard alone.
If the old cat lady complains throw fireworks at her too.
Keep in mind that each cat is different (like people), a deterrent that works for one may not necessarily work for another. On the plus side, most cats will keep pesty squirrels, moles and other critters out of your garden. They're great for keeping out moles, rabbits, squirrels, and other critters which can do more damage in your garden than a cat ever will. If the cats have owners, talk to them without being confrontational. The cat owner who allows his cat to damage other peoples' property is as guilty as the cat hater who kills the cat for trespassing. Remember, cats will be cats, and it is unfair of us to blame them for being what they are and how nature intended them to participate in this world. After-all, we praise them when they catch mice or rats or other creatures we deem to be 'pests'.

NOT RECOMMENDED:
*** chili powder, red crushed pepper, cayenne pepper (NOT recommended), it gets on the cat's paws then they wash themselves and they get it in their eyes, beware cats have literally scratched their eyes out because of this. Even if it's one cat out of 500 infected in this way, that's one too many for me.
*** Don't ever use mothballs or flakes. Those little toxic waste pellets destroy cats' kidney function, could seriously harm people who handle them, and yes, contaminate your own garden soil. Their packaging even warns against using them this way.
Set up a few land mines. If they have a favorite spot they like to use, get a few small mouse traps and bury them armed just under the soil where they go. This should give them enough of a scare to not dig there again. If all else fails buy or make a trap, then trap those bastards and have animal control take them away.
It's always best to try explaining the situation to your
neighbor first.
Owning a dog may also provide a viable solution.
Or...ever consider buying a Marushin GBB Walther P-38?
It's just a high-end B-B gun on Steroids...but be careful!
At 250+ fps this COULD wack the cat! Shoot to scare...
NEVER to kill!
crap in your garden makes for good fertilizer

Build a rabbit gum, or trap, big enough to h old a cat. A little carpenter work, simple to build, and bate it with sardines. I have caught about 40 that way and then took them to a neighborhood about five miles away where they look like they need a cat.
Be nice to the cats, they are helping your garden grow, it's known as free fertilizer - and its also dug in in for you. Feed the animal, so it can produce more of the same for you. Be happy that your neighbor has a cat to give you that service. Be positive, the Lord created cats for a reason, you have a real friend!
What I use is red pepper flakes and ground hot pepper sprinkled around the borders of my beds. Of course the draw back is it doesn't work in the rain (DUH) and you must be careful when you water. Do not get it on the leaves of your plants, just the soil. After a few days of getting a good whiff of this my neighbors cats changed there toilet site. Good luck.
