I have grown a lemon tree from a pip, it is now about 18inches tall can i pinch out the top to let it bush out

Question:The lemon was from Italy so not from a really hot country. It is growing straight up with no branches, but with just about 7 leaves on the top. As it grows taller the bottom leaves fall off so I am left with a long stem with a few leaves on top. How do I make it bushy.

Answers:
yes, pinch it out at the top. Lemons along with all other citrus fruits need plenty of water, and protection against wind and frost in the winter.

Once it has become established with a good growth, you shouldn't need to do too much to it. Mine is now around 15 feet tall with dozens of lemons on it.

Yes, pinch it...
