Strawberries?

Question:Help im a total novice at gardening, cant even grow a strawberry plant! It is in a hanging basket, getting very bushy with flowers everywhere, only 1 strawberry. What shall I do to all the flowers? Or rather where are all the strawberries?

Answers:
I think the flowers turn into strawberries.. don't they??

leave the flowers where they are , you could prune some of the leaves tho so that more of the nutrition goes into the fruit rather than making the leaves grow.
IF THE PLANT IS FULL OF FLOWERS YOUR DOING GREAT! IF YOU LOOK CLOSE AT THE FLOWERS YOU'LL SEE STRAWBERRIES BEHIND THE FLOWER.DON'T TOUCH!! good luck
Iam growing stawberies in grow bags. They sound like they're doing fine.I feed mine with Tomatoe Feed
Flowers are a good sign. Although a hanging basket is never going to give you loads of berries I`m afraid, but if that's the only space you have you're doing well. The Strawbs will begin to grow quite soon after the flowers start to show.
Ideally you need to have them at ground level as they "creep" along the top of the soil and spread very quickly. I planted a single plant with my 7 year old daughter last year and we now have so many plants we get about 40 berries per week of them.

By the way I am absolutely no gardener by any stretch of the imagination..
we have our strawberries growing in guttering along the south side of our garage, the rough cast on the wall deters the slugs. they get watered daily. we have had loads of flowers now turning into big fat berries. if you watch their progress you will notice the petals fall off the flower, the centre of the flower then swells into a green strawberry, wait for it to turn red, then race the local bird population to it.
