What is a natural way to keep misquitos off?

If you are trying to keep the mosquitos off of you you can use Skin so Soft by Avon. It works.
Avon Skin so soft. Just rub all over you, smells good, good for your skin and the mosquito's will not come near you.
Cedar keeps them away, you could maybe have some cedar chips in your flower beds, or plant some cedar trees.
Use a mosquito trap, this is a device that emits an attractive scent for the mosquito which is then blown into a trap by a fan. Works quite well, just Google "mosquito fan trap" to find out more.
I recently heard on the news about rubbing a dryer sheet on your arms and legs, and also putting one in your pocket. I have not tried it yet, but am planning too soon. Avon skin so soft works well too, also any spray with deet, or citronella torches.
I prefer citronnella to keep them off me... as for keeping them away in your garden, simply place shallow pans (aluminum pie plates will do) with water and at least 25 drops of dishwashing liquid soap in the water. Any brand will do.
This attracts the mosquitos, as they breed in water. The soap is toxic and will kill them. You will soon find there are no more mosquitos in your yard.
rub a dryer sheet on your skin to repel mosquitoes
Use lemon balm leaves rubbed liberally over yourself & your clothing.
Eat fresh garlic. LOL
On windy days you can usually move about outside with less mosquito confrontations, because they're less active then, but they're most active between dusk & dawn.
Mosquitos don't like rosemary, thyme, lemon balm, garlic, citronella, the oil of lemon eucalyptus, or Tea Tree Oil.
Make a spray from one or several of those repelling herbs mosquitos don't like, such as mint or lemon balm & add a tablsp dish soap to a gallon of water & spray your bushes with it when you're outdoors.
From a CNN article:
The CDC says " oil of lemon eucalyptus provides protection time "similar to low-concentration DEET products in two recent studies."
Iowa State U. researches have reported that an essential oil found in catnip (Nepetalactone)
is more effective than DEET. (Organic Gardening Aug/Sept '06)

Folks on this site: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/... like an herbal repellents called "Crocodile" & "BuzzOff" an all natural repellent made from a Native American Woman in Maine. There's also a repellant made of soybean oil called "Bite Blocker for Kids" that said to be effective.
Skin So Soft by Avon seems to work for many. I don't like using it when it's hot outside though because of the smothering feel.
I've used Bounce Fabric Softener sheets (seriously) and they actually seemed to help. Just run them through your belt loops or partially tuck them into your pockets. I even rubbed them over my clothing and skin too.
There is also a "mosquito plant". smells like citrus. You could plant them around your patio areas in the landscape beds and/or in pots on your patio/deck.
If you don't mind spending a few hundred dollars there are also Mosquito Magnets. The purpose is to draw the mosquitoes to the device and away from your "common areas" outdoors.
If all else fails, there is always mosquito repellent spray. DEET as the active ingredient seems to be scientifically proven best. They've made some recent improvements on some of the OFF brands so that they aren't greasy, sticky, or heavy.
