How do you remove a flagpole?

Question:I'm working on a project and I have to remove a flagpole imbedded in concrete. Anyone know how?

Answers:
Easiest way is to cut it off at ground level.

Get a truck, some rope/chains, and give it hell.
Use a dynamite.
get an axe and chop it down
jackhammer bro. thats the only real way
If you like to sweat, break it up with a sledge-hammer. If you like to sweat and walk away vibrating, get a jack-hammer.

All you basically have to do is split the concrete into managable sizes. Get a prybar in the cracks and work out the large pieces.
cut it off with a plasma cutter or torch then grind it off and fill the hole...if you must get it outa the concrete then you have to break concrete with a jackhammer or something else.
If it is a huge flag pole.. Cut it, break the concrete by the above mentioned methods and then haul it out. If it is smaller, use a tractor and loader and it should be able to hoist it out of the ground via a large chain.
That is my two cents.
go around it keep the pole
how tall is ur flagpole and what kind of mat`l,if its wood cut in section so it wont fall in your house or other peoples houses,if it`s metal cut in section too once you could jack hammer the base ,or anothet idea is use the last section as a stripper pole
metal usually doesn't adhere to concrete. If one IS attached to the other then ask Home Depot about a solvant, that is if you want to replace that flag with another. if not then how about sawing off the flag's wooden part away from the top of the cement and then putting tree root disolver in there on the wood encased in the cement. Then dig out the wood once it's broken down. Otherwise dig out the cement and have some truck remove it to the dump.
where is it at...? I am in need of one.?
Soak the area well, then dig it out.I have removed a few poles and post that way.
