No you don't - earthworms are good for the soil of your garden. They aerate it.
You can't and they are good for your garden anyway.
1. get a pail
2. pick up excess worms
3. go fishing : )
Earthworms till your soil. Why would you want to get rid of them? What constitutes too many?
HEY! I asked a question a couple of days ago wondering where all the earthworms went to, now I know! Cool!
you dont.
They are good for your garden.
You need some crows, gulls, robins, blue jays & other assorted birds that eat worms. I'm wondering why you have so many. There's supposed to be healthy for the dirt. Are you overwatering the lawn?
earthwormes are great for your soil.got a fishing pole?
Wait for a good storm, then when they're on top of the soil, fertilize.
earthworms are good--even way too many. the birds will help you with that problem
ARE YOU CRAZY?
Do not rid your garden of them as they are beneficial to the soil. If you feel there are too many, which I couldn't imagine, just tell some friends who like to fish, I'm sure they would like some free bait for the taking.
I have never experienced too many earthworms. I don't know that it's even possible. You do know that worms are what makes good soil. They produce worm casings and aerate the earth.

You can go into a home business. Worms for sale. We have a store and we sell earth worms for bait. Just get some pint containers, put some ground up newsprint in and add some moisture and the worms. Add a few small holes in the top, mark the container with the number of worms and the price.

You'll be making money and reducing the number of worms in your garden.
Do not get rid of earthworms they help your garden grow, without them your garden will die. How you ask the worms eat the earth and it comes out the other side as poo and the hole will have oxygen in them and both are needed to make your garden grow and with out worms none of that will happen and as i said your garden will die.
dont!! they are good for the soil!
Good soil has worms, the more worms the better the soil. Why would you want to get rid of them? You shuld feed them coffee grounds and be greatful they are there.
Wish I had'em. But to answer your question and I guess you dont wont to dig up your garden do this.Get a stick about 2ft long ,make it round 1/2 in thick, cut notches 1/4in apart and 1/4in deep.Stick it in the ground 4 or 5 in --Get a stick like the first, but no notches,Rapidly rub it up and the first stick for about 1 minute,The vibiration will cause the worms to come out of the ground. This works.Hope you are not sorry later--- The sizes are not too important. [The sticks not the worms ] YUK---YUK

Mold and bacteria and higher level organisms like beetles, centipedes and, of course, earthworms are all busy recyclers. By breaking down organic matter -- stuff like dead plants, poop, and decaying animals -- they create valuable nutrients necessary for rich and fertile soil. What Worms do ?
