I have two weeping tree roses and I didn't really prune them like I should have this spring. Is it too late.

Question:One side is growing and flowering and other isn't. Should I just prune them back and start over. They look terrible.

Answers:
you should prune roses as a matter of fact you should always cut of spent flowers , that prompts the rose to rebloom.Cutting of dead stems is always acceptable and pruning is also until late fall. But don't prune then back to far.

You can prune roses at any time during their growing season. Just make sure you prune above a bud where there are 7 leaves.
Just give it some TLC and time ill grow back if you don't want to wait until next spring, then tear it down. I hope it wouldn't be in the front yard were everyone can see it!
It's never to late for a good haircut. Or at least that's what my arborist says. Technically you should do it at the beginning of spring before it gets flowers or starts to bloom. But he said that if you give it a little trim now it would be okay. Don't wait until later in the summer, though. Good luck.
