Is there an organic way to remove tree stumps from a yard?

Question:

If you get a tree lopper who has a stump grinder, that's the easiest way. The way our tree stumps disappeared was by termites eating them for dinner. I dug one out myself by digging around it quite deep, then sawing off the roots. It took a long time, but I got rid of it.

You can drill holes in the stump and it will rot away on it's own. Some people will burn them out. There's also some chemicals you can pour on them that will get rid of them. Then of course you could have it eaten out with a machine specifically designed to grind stumps out of the ground. Most tree removal companies have that kind of machine.
Rent a stump grinder. With the exception of burning one out, the chemicals take forever. I dig around the stump, throw on some scrap lumber and light it up. Have some hot dogs or marshmallows with sticks or forks ready if you are in a "no burn" area. Just kidding, you will still get a ticket.
Organic? Sure.. fungus and insects will break it down to soil again.. depending on it's size, could run between 10 and 100 years.. be patient.
I think the only organic way would be beetlesbut as to what works is the stump killer just drill some holes in the stump and put the stump killer in it.
I hired a stump grinder to grind out a very large stump myself. It was fairly hard work and took me a few hours but there again I'm not that strong. Ended up with loads of sawdust which I'm sure could be used for something.
drill holes in the stumps and pour salt in the holes. wait a few months then beat the stumps with a large hammer.
If you use a charcoal bbq. You can put your left over hot coals from bbqing on top of the stump. Cover with soil and prevent anyone from stepping on the area. Eventually, if you keep doing this the stump will burn down below the surface of the soil and voila.
