Change the Oil on a Champion Lawnmower?

Question:I was wondering how the hell I change the oil on a champion 40 self propeled petrol mower bought from Focus in the UK. I know I could just turn the thing upside down but thats gonna make a god awful mess everywhere so was wondering if there is a "propper" way to do it so you don't get used oil everywhere. Thanks.

Answers:
At the base of the engine block, you will see a 1/2" pipe plug,. Get a pan and put under it and remove the plug, the oil will drain out. Replace the plug not to tight just good and snug. add oil until it shows on the proper fill mark on the oil stick. I always change the oil after 20 hours running time and clean the air filter. It will take you maybe 30 minutes to do bough.
