Is there a difference between lawn grass and weeds?

Question:How can one distinguish between what is considered grass and weeds. Or is grass a type of weed?

Answers:
grass is a preferrable ground cover usually planted by property owner. there are all kinds of grasses and sometimes the two will mix in a yard. st augastine and bermuda are typical grasses down here. grass will put out runners and, when healthy dominate the entire lawn. it will squeeze out the undesiable weeds.

weeds are undesiarble plants growing amongst the desired ground cover. they are unsightly, (to most), and i call a weed anything growing in my yard that is NOT beautiful, green, lush, thick, st. augastine grass, (well other than trees, ornamental shrubs and such).
