Answers:
if you want them flattened, squish them with somethim heavy and leave it for a few days...
it you want the flowers to hold their shape, hang it upside down from like the ceiling or something(i use thred tied to the stem of the flower, and hang it on a hook)
hang them upside down
Get a heavy novel and put the flowers between the pages.
The way the old timers did before dehydrators were sold. press them between sheets of paper. Old large books are perfect for this.
I use kitty litter. I just fill a plastic container with it, place the flowers in it the way I want them to dry and it removes all of the moisture from the flower drying it perfectly. You can also buy dessicant at the craft stores, but it is way more expensive than kitty litter.
take your flowers and put them together in a bouquet, if its not already like that. turn them upside down and hang on a high place where it wont fall or get touched. spray the flowers with hairspray everyday or every other day. after a few weeks, they should be completely dried. It worked once for me.
If they have stems on them, tie all the stems together and hang them upside down undisturbed in a dry place, like a garage or basement. Otherwise spread them out on newspaper to dry.
I would say just to hang then upside down.. maybe outside in the sun.. inside they tend to smell funny at first!
You can purchase silica gel at the craft store, which will absorb moisture. There's a process using the silica gel in the microwave to dry flowers quickly.
