How do I remove the dye caused by colored mulch from my concrete padio?

Question:I ordered a large load of colored enhanced mulch for my planting beds, and a freak storm came through and caused some of the color to bleed into my concrete. (Pink stains) I had hoped the sunlight and rain over the past couple months would bleach it out, but it's still there. Any ideas on how to remove it? Would an acid wash work? Power washer?

Answers:
Your best bet may be to purchase some ZUD Heavy Duty Cleanser, look for it in hardware and home improvement stores. Make a paste out of it and apply to area, let set for 30 minutes then scrub and hose off. Concrete is porous so stains are not usually just on the surface. This is recommended for rust stains. You can also try oven cleaner, spray it on, let it set for 15 minutes, scrub, then hose off well. This is toxic so be sure to not let kids and pets in the area. Now for an old standby that I have done in years ago on my concrete driveway with satisfactory results, as odd as it is...Lemon flavored Koolaid! Sprinkle on the area, cover with plastic and soak for 15 minutes, remove the plastic and scrub and rinse. I don't know why it worked or where I even heard it but it was easy and cheap!

Use sprite and a wire brush.
dc s answer will leave you with another stain. acid wash the whole thing and then seal it after it drys
