Hi to you all,l have some pumpkins in a grow bag and they keep growing and..?
Question:growing and they are now growing over on to the lawn,is that o.k for them or must they be on soil? Also do the flowers turn into pumpkins. Thanks
Answers:
yeah they can grow over onto the lawn, but ideally you should put them on straw, to keep them dry, otherwise underneath the'll get all soggy and soft, and then you get slugs and the lot eating into them.
You need to get the plant in some soil. Pumpkins require lots of water and they will also need the nutrients to grow a pumpkin. Plant it where it has room to grow as they have long vines. Yes the pumpkins come after the bloom falls off. To keep it from spreading after you see a coupler of pumpkins keep cutting the vine and grow only a couple. Miracle Grow plant food will work great to feed it.Have fun!
Yeah it's okay fo them to grow onto the lawn but I suggest that you put straw or hay underneath them. Yes all the flowers do turn into pumpkins.
cut the pumpkins then put them in a large sauce pan then ad herbs and water to a boil, you will have a very sweet stew.
