Can anyone tell me if they have had any success bringing in New Guinea Inpatients in the Fall with success..ty

Question:I live in the Northeast and would like to try and save my plants to put out for next year..Has anyone had any luck in doing this..and what should I do

Answers:
I haven't and I wouldn't bring them in the house if you have other plants because of bugs. you will have to spray them first, change the soil. I didn't have any luck but I don't have a window suitable to put them in.

My mother used to cut impatiens before frost in the fall and put them in vases. They always grew roots. She didn't ever replant them in the spring but only because they would get so many roots in the span of the winter, that it got out of hand so then she'd toss them. I am sure it would have been possible, though.
