Can someone give me ideas on how i can make a tropical garden?

If you have space, a frangipani tree does really well in tropical climates. lillies and oriental lilies look really tropical, so does crinum, hippeastrum, If you have a fence, you can plant a creeping flowering plant up it like bouganvillea or Allamanda (pink or yellow flowers). Azaleas do well in part-sun. If you have a fair bit of shade, you can grow tropical orchids on your trees or strap them to boards to grown on a fence or wall (theylike 75% shade). They have to be the most breathtaking tropical flower.
Aechmea, Ameria, Begonia, Clivia, Coropsis (looks like a sunflower), and bird of Paridise are very tropical looking flowers. Also check out some ferns. They are very tropical. Talk to someone at a local nursery, they should have a good idea of what tropical plants grow well in your area too.. Water as a feature makes a tropical garden look really 'tropical'. Try getting a small waterfall, or just a simple water feature will do wonders. Putting lots of mulch not only helps your garden to look more tropical (hiding bare dirt), but also holds the moisture in as tropical plants like to be wet.
