best way to start from a seed is to have a container that will keep the wrmth in try cutting 2 clear plastic bottels in half one closer to the bottom than the other, with this one put some cotton wool inthe bottom and put your seeds in it moisten with water and then put some holes in the top of bottom of the other bottle and place upside down on the first leave this on your window ledge and keep moist when your seeds sprout you can transfer into a small pot with potting mix.
this is a siplified way but try it and good luck
