Neighbor won't Clean Up Dog crap on his lawn, how do I get him to clean it up?
Question:My neighbor lets his dog crap all over his yard, all down the sides of his house and all over the front yard and backyard. He never cleans it up, it's disqusting. I can't even look out my window and enjoy the view because of all the brown piles all over the grass. Its been this way for about 6 months now.
What can I do about this? We never talk to each other, we dont dislike each other , we just are private people. When people walk dogs in our neighborhood they carry a bag and clean up their dog's crap right after it goes. So why should my neighbor be allowed to let his dog crap all over his lawn where I gotta look at everytime I look at it? How do I tell himm without getting punched out or worse?

Communication! That is the key. You should first build up a trust with this person. Don't start out by attacking him verbally. Lead up to the problem gradually. You can't force him to do anything. If that fails, you might have to consider putting up a fence! Good luck!
I really don't think there's much you can do. I have a similar problem. I live in a very rural section of town on about an acre. On three sides of my house there is nothing but land and a river view, very beautiful. On the fourth side is a fenced in area where my neighbor lets her dogs run, right outside window over my kitchen sink. The dogs have taken to going right outside my window and barking at me whenever I'm at the sink. Winter time is especially difficult as it sets on top of snow. Nothing I can do however, it's her yard. Some people just don't use common sense or think about others. You can only imagine what the inside of the house looks like if they're that lazy.
Check with the city or town. Many have ordinances for this. You may also have homes association rules or deed restrictions pertaining to this. I can imagine the smell blowing your way also. See if any other neighbors have concerns with this also and start a petition.
if talking to your neighbor or even writing him a note is not an option... most cities/county's have ordinances re guarding this problem. you may want to start by calling your local city hall and they should be able to direct you to the department that would handle this type of problem
there isn't any thing you can do. his dog is his yard not yours. if you live in a restricted area you may could get hoa to intervene. you can calmly tell him the smell is getting to bad and ask if he would mind taking care of the problem. i doubt he cares if you like the look of it, but if smell is to bad he might be willing fix the problem. i do believe your best shot is hoa(home owners association) and if he doesn't clean it they will and charge him a hefty fine.
I've had this problem in the past. This is a significant health hazard, and the health dept will become involved if you call.
Thank you for my laugh of the day.
Its his yard short of calling the city health department there isnt much you can do. Keep your windows shut and hope the stench doesnt blow in.
Tell him he needs to move it,
else you will report him as being as not a proper dog owner.
Tell him everything you've said now, tell him hes just spoiling the garden as its meant to be a nice place to be not a disgusting place.
If not then its up to him whether he wants to have a social life.. or have anyone round.
He'll probs end up making the area you live in worse of so tell him that to.
Good luck.
He needs to get that sorted.

Contact your local police there are laws that state you must clean up after your pets.
Your problem is not bad at all. I have two neighbors who let their animals run loose, especially cats, and they don't crap in their yard, they go to my flower beds. One neighbor has six cats, the other had 20 and my yard smelled like hell. I began a feline relocation program since they were also getting into my garage and eating the dog food that I keep in there. I put three or four tuna cans with the water or oil that comes with it and had 18 cats in my garage. I slammed down the door and entered into the garage from the house and collected them in a large burlap bag and took them about 40 miles away from the house into a neighborhood that "needed" cats.
As for your problem, the best thing not to do is to say anything to your neighbor. People get very upset with their pets. I live in a world of rednecks down here and they don't care what you do to their sisters, wives, mothers, etc., butif you kick their dogs or speak badly about their pickup trucks, all hell breaks loose.
