That sounds like Lemon balm, I have it in my garden as well, I dont use it for anything, but the smell it gives off is wonderful, and seems to distract the midgies in an evening.
It could be lemon Balm.. I don't know much about this stuff.
Why don't you smoke it and see what it does!
Harvest, dry it out and smoke it. You never know.
if it is lemon balm (also known as Melissa) then it will flower eventually (usually in mid-late summer) although the flowers are quite small and insignificant. lemon balm makes a great, refreshing tea and can also be used to give a lemon taste to food too. it freezes OK but if you dry it you will lose the aroma. in winter,it dies down to ground level but as it's a perennial it comes back each spring. bees LOVE it too!
Lemon Balm. Makes great tea infusion. Spreads like wildfire, so pull up small shoots as they appear.
it sounds like lemon balm. I've got some and after the rain it smells divine.
