My phal orchids bottom smallest leaf fell off.. the next one up is getting a little yellow at the base.. is?

Question:this normal leaf loss? also the biggest leaf on top had a little spot on it that was soft.. when i pressed it.. it looked like water went throughout the surrounding area of that spot. i took it out of its pot which was half bark half soil.. did it have too much water? now im spraying the roots which are just air suspended for the time being.. my thoughts is that it had to dry out.. was it getting crown rot? is all of this normal? plz help.

Answers:
Sounds like too much water . Lessen the amount of soil . Get rid of any dead roots . ?Repot it , if it hasn't been done in 2 years. Make sure the leaves are dry overnight . Any misting , or watering should be done early enough for this .
