Bitter lemons from a Myer Lemon Tree?

Question:I live in Florida and have a well established Myers Lemon Tree which produces bitter lemons. This is not good for making lemonade. I have used citrus fertilizer stakes and it gets plenty of sun and water. Has anybody heard of such a thing and what can be done to get the tree to produce better lemons? It did not go through a freeze nor does it have the dreaded canker.

Answers:
try adding some iron chelate to the soil, it will take some time for the tree to absorb it up to the fruit but it will help- many of the soils in Florida are very defficient in iron since they are very shallow.
