New lavender seed help?

Question:im growing lavender from seeds indoors,in the little starter container, but one guide told me to put the sowed seeds in the fridge for two weeks ,and others r saying they need lots of sunlight to germinate(put them in the sun) what am i supposed to do. also how often should i water them

Answers:
Some seeds need to be placed somewhere cold to let them think they have had winter. Try it for a couple of weeks then put them on a sunny window sill making sure you only keep the compost moist, not soaking wet. If all else fails and they don't germinate young plants are fairly cheap.

I put my lavender seeds in the fridge for 2 weeks before I planted them. Maybe you were supposed to do that?
