Question:
Answers:
You shouldn't need a permit and a local company should give you a good estimate, but call 2 or 3 places to be sure.
you can remove a tree from my property if you like. lol. cost depends onsize of tree, if u want them to grind down the stump, remove the branches etc. assume at least 500 bucks. permit? never heard of that for a tree but again, that is a city by city thing.
It would depend on the size of the tree, and the age. Some cities have ordinances about cutting down trees. You should check with a tree service and they can tell you if you need a permit, and give you a quote of how much it would cost. Also depends if it is in the backyard or front yard and how much of the branches are over the house it any.
Getting a great big tree down takes a 2-man crew, one to rope the first one at the top...we had a big tree taken down [it was too close to the garage and we live in Tornado Alley] but cut it up ourselves for firewood and left the stump. Cost $130 for dropping the tree and cutting the main trunk in 4 big pieces so we could use the log-splitter. Call the city's "Permit & License" office and ask them...depends if the tree hangs over a right-of-way, alley, sidewalk, etc. The $500 job mentioned above would probably cover hauling off the tree after dropping it. We just had it taken down safely and made use of the wood afterwards. TIMBERRRRRR!
It probably depends on where you live along with the size of the tree, basically how long it would take someone to do the job. We just had a 100 ft. Elm that finally succumbed to Dutch Elm Disease taken down last week and the price was $550.00. He had two helpers (gals) that worked the ropes and cut the tree up in 2 ft. pieces. Now it is our turn to split a lot of wood. We live in NH and got no permit.
if the tree is 24 inch round or bigger you need to get a permit ( city rule).can take 1 month to 6 months to get a permit.i cut trees down all the time like 12 inch round and 40 foot tall no permit needed on the small trees.last month i cut down a 25 inch round and 75 foot tall (slash pine) tree with out a permit, if it was a oak tree i would have needed one.the tree permit is only to make sure you do not cut down any very large and old oak trees.i would only get a permit if its a very large and old oak tree.price any where from $400 to $3,000. pine trees 12 inch to 24 inch round and 60 feet tall would cost $400 to $800 any big 3 foot round oaks would cost $800 to 3,000 or more to get cut down.
