"how to get rid of weeds in my lawn, mostly crab grass and also the weeds between my hedge flower plants?
Question:i am in north texas,if that helps.
Answers:
First, determine what type of grass naturally grows in your yard (what has it been sodded with?); Bermuda, St. Augustine, etc.
If it is Bermuda, than go to your local County Co-op agency, and get yourself the recommended chemical for killing weeds in your yard, and in between your flowers. It is called High Yield "MS-MA," it kills all unwanted weeds, but does not harm the Bermuda. It comes in a small, pint-sized bottle. You dillute it with water, 1 ounce per every gallon of water, and lightly mist your whole yard. It will save you a ton of money, as opposed to buying round up or something similar that hooks to your garden hose, from a big-box store, because it is very strong, and goes much further. It is made for agricultural applications, however, I have never heard a homeowner complain about its effectiveness
Lawn doctor. Best money you can spend.
I have a cheaper solution..go to a heome improvement store and get a weed n feed or straight crabgrass killer that attaches straight to your gardenhose..be sure to read the label directions 'cause some grasses take different things...and spray that on your lawn and between the shrubs.. worked for us down here in GA
