How do you take the thorns off a rose without hurting the flower?

Question:

Answers:
I just snap them off with my finger or if it has lots of thorns I run my scissors up and down the stem till they're all off. Open the scissors slightly then run the stem where the blades meet. Simple and Quick

you can snip them but you are referring to a cut stem correct, like to put in a vase?

I am assuming you are not trying to get the thorns off of a growing plant that is in the ground.
cut on w clippers
Seems like the florist use a little tool they run down the stem of the rose and it removes the thornes. Hobby lobby or mIchael's craft stores may have this same type of tool that you can buy. Hope this helps.
Uhm, just a thought, but if the roses have already been "cut" then they are already "hurt" and will begin that whole decaying process thing. So hurting them further by removing the thorns with say, a razor blade or other sharp thin blade should do the trick.
Cut the rose first. After it is dead, it won't feel a thing. Then you can pick all the thorns of it you want.
inject the stem w/ painkiller first ; )
