I have woodlice in my garden, it is disgusting how do i get rid of it?

Question:

Answers:
I hope I can convince you they are not awful. They are actually one of the garden beneficials. Woodlice also called sowbugs, pillbugs, & the millipede pillbug are decomposers. They eat dead and decaying material returning it to a form plants can use. Sowbugs & pillbugs require a moist place to live as they are actually crustaceans, or land dwelling shrimp. If you remove them you are removing one of the ways your garden composts old plant debris.

There are three a look alike bugs that roll up. The Glomeris marginata or millipede pillbug. Common pillbugs also roll into a ball but the millipede is black with more than 7 pairs of legs. The Pillbug is a dull blue-grey and has only seven pairs of legs. The Sowbug can’t fully roll into a ball it only manages a close u-shape and it has a pair of tail-like structures on the back end of the body. But all three decompose plant debris.
Pill bugs are not insects so require damp locations like compost piles or in rotting logs to live. If you have mulch or other slightly damp gardem material they are happily turning it into compost for the plants. They happily occupy the compost bin just as earthworms do.

A spray would be good------go somewhere that they know what it is as a home and garden place.
