Can I grow tomatoes in a five gallon container?
Question:I put two plants in each five gollon container, I have been watering and feeding with Myrical grow. What do you think my chances are of getting tomatoes??
Answers:
I have two in five gallon pails. Don't over-water and don't over fertilize. Miracle Grow about every 5 weeks. Water when the soild is dry two inches below the surface. You'll do fine girlfriend!!!
pretty good. Be sure that your container has drain holes in the bottom.
Yes you can grow them. You should put one of those wire trellises in the pot so the vines have somewhere to go. Wind them around the trellis as they grow. I did this and had lots and lots of tomatoes for months!
You will get great tomatoes. I have done this for years because I have limited space and I like fresh tomatoes when in season. enjoy but be careful to not water to much.
Excellent chances I would think! Don't let them dry out, as apparently the fruit will crack! I have grown my plants from seed
and unexpectedly it seems that they have all taken! My son has nicknamed our house 'The Greenhouse!'
Happy growing, happy eating! Have fun!
Yes.
50/50.
Make sure they get lots and lots of natural light or they'll just bolt and get gangly and leafy without fruiting.
Add a few tablespoons of compost from time to time.
Chances are good if you have ample drainage, ample moisture and lots of sun. I have grown them on the rooftop of my loft when living in town.
Yes you can!!
You may need to have only 1 plant in each container to prevent over crowding.
Enjoy your yummy home grown tomatoes!!
Yes! Tomato plants in 5 gallon containers should do great. Make sure you put a tomato cage over your plant while it is still relatively small. You can get them at home depot or Lowe's. These help the plant support the weight of the tomatoes. Water regularly but not too much and make sure there are drain holes in the bottom of the container or the roots will get water logged. Keep in the sun all day. Good luck.
you would better off growing yourself a brain because unfortunately you need one fo asking that queston just let me install it for you
Better if ya cut back on the miracle grow. Tomatoes are hearty enough without artificial stimulation
