Big black bug? Scary as hell too.?
Question:There's a big black bug it has antenna's that are like 2-3 inches long and it was so fast! I didn't get up closer cause I was freakin scared to death! It looked 3 inches .tall and 2 inches wide. I live in Missouri, anyone know what they're called? And, should I kill it?

Was it a water bug, maybe? We lived in a neighborhood one time that had HUGE black waterbugs, or that's what the neighbors called them..they looked like black roaches to me! Terrifying!
Eeeeek! I dunno what it might be, unless it's a cricket. Regardless, I'd shoot first and ask questions later.

It could be a couple of different things. My first guess would be an American cockroach - they are very large (unlike the more common and smaller German cockroaches that are more usually seen). 2nd guess would be a rhinocerus beetle.
probably a beetle of sorts. I've seen gigantic black beetles that size and bigger. It's probably harmless
