I don't think you can...why do you want to?
Bats eat bugs. Bugs are bad for gardens. Which of the following answers can be derived from those two statements:
1)Bugs hate gardens.
2)Bats hate jokers.
3)Bats are good for gardens.
4)I really need to do some laundry.
The bats are flying in your garden to eat the bugs that are eating your garden. Get rid of the bugs and the bats will go away.
Would you like to stop the birds as well? It`s their airspace too.
Are you mad ,why in god's name would you want to,maybe you want bees and butterflies out as well
Stop the kids throwing them then.
But if it's the living sort ,leave them alone. They won't do any harm. They eat insects which you don't want anyway.i
You cant do anything they are a protected by law.
You can't and mustn't try ! They won't hurt you, they only come out at dusk for insects..You may get "buzzed" by one but they'll never fly into you...If you're talking about the "cricket bats",i suggest you have a word with the neighbours...
why would you want to? they eat nuisance insects like mosquitoes. you can build a bat box to give 'em a home. just make a hollow wooden cube (about the size of a 12 shoebox) and insert a rod for them to hang on about 3" from the top. leave the bottom 3-4" of the front panel open for them to get in n out
You could see if there are any of those "ultrasound generators" for pest control still available. I don't know that any of them actually worked...
Alternativly, You could try to eliminate thier food source.
They eat bugs of all kinds (mosquitos & even plant destroying insects). If they are flying down into your garden then You HAVE an insect problem. Get rid of the bugs, and the bats will look for better feeding grounds, er...skys?
Sorry but why on earth would you want to, they eat moths and pests, and do very little (if any) damage to houses, I loved seeing them catch moth's outside my house, but they went as soon as the streetlight was changed to sodium.
garlic and a few crosses dotted about the place should do the trick heheh
Bats are wonderful insect eating machines! They can eat upwards of 3,000 insects per night (I wonder who counted?) They eat flying as well as ground dwelling insects so beetles, ants and the like are part of their diet.
Short of putting your garden inside of a screen house, I don't know of a way of discouraging their presence. If the bats bother you, go inside. Personally I love watching ours. And no they've never buzzed me. They don't bite unless you pick one up and it's still alive. Yes, they can carry rabies, but don't handle one if it's dead in your yard. You can call animal services to learn how to dispose of a dead one, or they will do it for you.
I know this sounds weird but - Take those old cd type disks(old ones or blank ones you don't use) and hang them from a string (2 per string)
((fishing line works fine)) and hang it on a near by tree or some type of post ((I have mine on a low hanging tree branch and a shephards hook)) it really keeps the bats away - I'm not sure exactly how - it has something to do with the reflection and the way the cds spin.) Good Luck!
Why, they are very benificial to your plants, I know there are alot ot nasty myths on bats, they will not get in your hair.
call for batman and learn about bats
do not harm them in any way, you could be prosecuted
r u batty, move to an area where there r no bats, its illegal to interfere with bats, if you have a phobia learn more about them this may help
They do no harm - infact they eat flies ao they are good - plus they are protected by law.
you can't. they are a protected species.
