Where do frogs go in the day?
Question:I regularly see them in my back garden at night but never in the day. Where do they hide?
Answers:
Frogs come from France and probably go back there in the daytime. lol
I can say that with tongue in cheek cos I have French cousins.
Under the cabbage leaves
they busy doing shopping work cooking dinner going for a pint
they hide because they only look good at nite
They all meet up in restaurants to eat chef's legs...
Under rocks,in holes, down by the roots of plant. But you'd most find them under rocks, where it's cool. Bye
they go to work like all europeans but they take handbags with them and so do the women
Undersomething cool or to a pond, I dont have a pond but I get hundreds in my garden they like to go under my concrete path that has small hole for them to get in!
they go back to the ponds they come from. A few of my neighbours have ponds, and the frogs sometimes come into my garden. Like you say, only at night. (well they haven't so far this year, and i hope for their sake they don't, cos i have a dog that likes to get anything that moves. I think i would scream my head off if he came in the house with 1/2 a dead frog in his mouth!!)
Somewhere cool, dark and damp.
maybe they're hidden in brooks, pipes or in the grass
France? uhh? why france? i think i'm missing the joke.
They sleep during the day and make love during the night.
They're very friendly with rabbits so come the morning, the rabbits all rally round and pick up a frog each and place them in they're pouches (it's a well kept secret, kangaroo's aren't the only ones). Anyway, the frogs sleep in the rabbits pouches all day and then come evening the rabbits dig them out, kiss them gently and wave them goodbye.
Well, there are many species of frogs. It also depends on your location. There is even a species called the common frog. It's found in the UK.
I collected some info on the bullfrog, Rana catesbeiana, it is very common. Bullfrogs hide out in thick vegetation close to the water it is living in. So, I would think the same would be true of most frogs. If there is thick vegetation to hide in. Sometimes they bury themselves in the lawn.

i am a landscaper and i have found that alot of frogs or toads hide in dark damp or moist areas with the garden. some hide out at the back of sheds or garages because of the drains are the back the soil and the surroundings are wet also if you have any paving stones check under them i know for a fact you will find them.
in cool places , under foliage and rocks,
they croaked it.
After spawning most frogs and toads leave the water in which they have spawned, although there are a few that will stay behind to look after the spawn and eventually tadpoles. Frogs and toads live in moist shaded areas of the garden after spawning, only venturing out at night to feed, they will hide anywhere that is moist and cool.
