Money Plant?

Question:My friend recently gave me a money plant (i dont know the correct name for this plant) it started as a tiny little thing and has now growing really well.

I recently re-potted my plant and it has shot up remarkably quick, however it is starting to lean to one side i am afraid it will eventually just flop over and break.

I dont want to break this plant i want it to flourish as it was a present at a very difficult stage in my life.

Any hoticlturalists out there with any useful tips

Answers:
The scientific name is crassula ovata and it is a succulent.
As such, it actually "looks best" in not-so-rich, and slightly dry, sandy soil. When you re-planted it, you probably used "the best potting compost around", and that causes it to shoot and become straggly. Never mind breaking off a shoot, just put it into another pot and grow a second one, they root quite easily.

Try replanting it outdoors,
try picking a spot with the correct amount of sunlight/water.
a stick or twig depending on how big it is fastened to the side of the plant with string
First of all, ignore that first answer. THose money plants like indirect sunlight and moderate temperatures. Keep it indoors and away from direct sunlight.

I would suggest repotting it. Just take it out of the pot, knock off the loose dirt and place it back in the same pot but make sure you pack it in there upright.

My wife has one of those plants and the exact same thing happened to us.

We made the mistake of bringing it outside. That nearly killed it.

I hope this helps, bud.
use a stake, tie it up with garden string (not any other kind because it will damage the plant) as it straightens out, you may need to prune it, or even repot it again...they ae neat plants, i have one also
try turning it round so that the opposite side faces the sun.
Did you put a stake in the pot with the plant? If not tie it to a stake and tie it up loosely with old panty hose (they won't hurt the plant). If it is too big try a tomato cage they work wonders!
