My Aloe Vera plant is growing really slow any ideas on helping it out.?

Question:It always seems as if its about to die, anyone have any suggestions??

Answers:
Well, Aloes are growing very slow. I have aloe plants myself and water them once a week summertime, once in two weeks the rest of the year. Do not water your plant too much and let the dirt dry properly when you water it again. Add nutrient made for cacti twice a month in the summer, once a month the rest of the year. For my aloes this works out. The nutrient may help it grow a bit faster.

Sometimes when I've left the plants on the windowsill in direct sunlight for several days, the plants have looked dried up, it helps if you in that case immediately water them and take them away from the direct light.

Is it getting too much/not enough water? Sufficient diffused light (not direct). I am assuming this is kept indoors.

I had one that got monstrous. Thy don't seem to grow fast, but steady.

Great plant to have in the house.
I have mine in a north window sill under a florescent light that stays on 24/7 and is growing like a fire of dead leaves.
I always only water it when it is completely dry.
Aloe vera is a slow growing plant so don't worry too much about it
The biggest thing that kills plants is overwatering. The Aloe doesn't need a lot of water. Once a week, let it dry out before wattering again.
If your plant is outside make sure it gets plenty of sun and let it definitely dry out between waterings, too much water is a sure killer. Aloe is a succulent and has a deep tap root, if its indoors have a pot that is deeper than wide if you can and don't use regular potting soil, if its all you have mix it with half sand and that should do it.
I agree with the previous answers that were given and just add this small idea.

Try this sun exposure :
from morning to 11h00: full sun
from 11h00 to 14h00: shadow of a tree
from 14h00 to night: full sun
Mine are in a good shape, but I live in north of France, so the sun is not as powerfull as the Mexican sun.
They like wind too, if they can't get some, dust will appear, so clean them each two weeks.
