The pinks in my garden have bloomed and died..should i cut them back to encourge re-blooming?

Question:

Answers:
Yes! definitely trim them back! Otherwise you will have a lot of dead in your garden and they WILL rebloom several times if you keep them trimmed. Same with columbine . Actually, any bloom or spent portion of a flower should be removed or they will go to seed thinking they are done for the season. We are able to manipulate the blooming of flowers more and more every year but deadheading and trimming back have always been helpful! Happy blooming!!
