Can you mail seeds in the UK?

Question:I wanted to send some seeds to someone, we both live in England. but a friend said there are laws about sending things like seeds in the post. is this true?

Answers:
Can not see why not, but I would make sure they are in a well sealed bag inside the envelope. Anyway who would be able to tell?

doubt it, i think it depends on the seeds lol
I order seeds by mail with no problem, so yes, you can
Have to be careful if you send them airmail 'cause the birds will sometimes get them.
Don't think so. The seed companies do mail order don't they?
