Is there such a thing as a No Maintainance Flower?

Question:

Answers:
Since you said "no" maintenance, the answer is no.

Now, had you said "low" maintenance, I might have suggested African Violets, Morning Glories and Portulacas (moss rose).

Try plastic flowers if you want no maintenance, but even those you have to dust.

yes there is... but most people consider them weeds...
Peonies. Plant them, water occasionally and wait. They come back year after year and in the fall just mow them down to the ground.
Yeah. They are usually made from silk and polyester.
Bulbs like asiatic lillies and hybrid are "very" low maintanence. Rudbeckia (looks like a black eye susan, but doesn"t escape to the rest of the yard) is very low maintenance and drought tolerant. Bearded Iris are low maintenance (if you don't listen to the growers and hybridizers), they can be stuck in the ground and ignored for years; except for when they are in bloom, then who could ignore their beauty? As far as I know, there are no - no maintenance flowers; someone has to put them in the ground afterall.
It really all depends on what Zone you live in. Many plants flower year after year (perennials) without having to be fertilized or cut back. As long as you plant it in a spot it likes, it will do good. (Light, part-light). For the most part, these have a short blooming periord.

Annuals will flower all season until frost, but will have to be replaced the following season. If I knew what zone you were in, I could be more specific but there are lots of web sites to get recommendations.
yes, I can think of 4. Peonys are beautiful but they are perennials and only come up in the spring but they are huge and gorgeous the one drawback is you can't really cut them to take in the house because they are loaded with ants. The reason they have ants is because the buds have wax on them and it takes the ants to eat the wax off to get them to open up. The only thing you have to do to these is mow them off after they are done blooming. Also, it takes about three years to have them really take off and get tons of blooms on them but they are worth it. Also there are moss roses, these are annuals but grow well in dry rocky soil so they require very little water they only get about 6 inches tall but they are very pretty and they will spread. You can pretty much plant them and forget them. Morning glories are also beautiful if you can plant them under a trellis. They will grow like crazy and get alot of blooms. You need to keep them away from siding though cause they will get beneath it and pop it out. Geraniums also do very well in the sun especially in a flower box. They do require water but not alot and you do need to pick the dead flowers off to make them bloom more but that is simple. There are more but these are the easiest that I can think of. Good luck.
There is -- if you plant native flowers, shrubs, and trees indigenous to your localized area and climatic zone.
