How do you know when figs are ripe to pick from a tree?


Question:I have a fig tree, but I have no idea of how to tell when they're ripe.

Answers:
There ready to pick when there a dark red or purple and soft. But you need to keep an eye on them because ants LOVE them,If they get one they will get them all.I am just a little ray of sunshine arnt I. LOL

I start eating as soon as they turn purple...or at least when their not green.
Purple and semi soft...not squishy.
