Is there a chemical to put on an unwanted small tree to keep it from growing?

Question:I have a small maple tree that I have to cut down every year. It is growing in an unwanted area around my AC unit. Due to it's location, I can't successfully dig it up. Is there a chemical I can pour on it to kill it quickly?

Answers:
Rock salt works well. If you have a stump, drill holes in it, and pour the salt in, Spread it around a small sapling if it's too small to drill into, but spreading it will affect anything within a couple of feet or more depending on rain runoff. it worked well for me, and it's a bit safer than those harsh chemicals. good luck!

yes there is
Weed-B-Gone or Roundup will probably work.
Call an arborist and sell it.
drill a hole in it, and put a few drops of round up in the hole, they hate that...
