How to fertilize centipede grass sod thats not rebounding from a winter freeze?

Question:had sod put down in Jan then it rained for 2 weeks and temperatures were in the teens several days. The grass is coming in but slow and very light green. About half is completely dead. Should I fertilize. I'm in middle Georgia and its now in the high 80's everyday.

ask the hardware store for fertilizer for centipede grass. I think that you can't use it on this type of grass.. I did and it killed part of my yard. Ask any way and let me know what you used, so I can buy that type too good luck!
