Burning weeds with blackberries bushes?

Question:I'm wanting to burn the hillside covered with weeds and blackberries. Would doing this kill the berry bushes also?

Answers:
It will set back the growth some, but I think the rhizomes (runners) underground will not be harmed much if at all.

Check with your local forestry first to make sure conditions are right, and whether you need a permit. Just to be safe and cover your behind.
